Shard Cup Season 5 and Blood Cup Details (January 14th)!

We have finished our second year of Shard Cup Tournament Series and are now entering year three! We plan to continue the series and have outlined what we expect the formats to be in the upcoming year on our usual page for the tournament series. For a preview, this is our intended format schedule over the next six months:

The Blood Cup: Constructed (Standard Constructed)
The Diamond Cup: Constructed (Standard Constructed)
The Ruby Cup: Constructed (Immortal Constructed)
The Sapphire Cup: Limited (Standard constructed, cut to top 8 draft)
The Wild Cup: Chapter Wars
The Fate Cup: Constructed (Standard Constructed), Double elimination

The Cup of Fate

For the last two years, we have had the fortunate blessing of Colin sponsoring our Cup of Fate to make it an amazing tournament and we thank immensely for doing so. The tournament series would not have been as great as it has been without his help. For this season, we are reaching out to the community for partial sponsorships. Our intended goal is to raise at least $1,000 in in-game prizes (boosters and primals) to make the tournament a great capstone to an excellent season.

As such, we are soliciting quarter-sponsorships from community members to keep the series going. To be a quarter-sponsor of the final cup, we ask for 135 current set boosters and 2 current set primals. Naturally, we are willing to take any donations for the final tournament (especially if you old set boosters kicking around), but will at least like to meet that base goal. We already have one quarter sponsorship lined up (Hacky’s the best), so we are 25% of the way to our goal. If you would like to commit to sponsorship (and have your name, group, team, guild, etc. attached to the tournament), please email us at fiveshards@gmail.com.

  1. When I tried to play in the Blood Cup this weekend, I could not get connected. The chat mods told us that the pairings were not working and the tournament would be rescheduled. Is there any word on rescheduling yet?
